The MAJOR CROSS tuning, developed by Tony Eyers, allows a major scale to be played in a second (or cross) position without any bending. While many players use second position, they often find traditional tunes challenging, due to the bending/overblowing needed for some notes.
MAJOR CROSS eliminates this problem. Moreover, as bending/overblowing is generally not needed, MAJOR CROSS harmonicas are well suited to the fast speeds common with traditional fiddle tunes.

I just got this harp and haven\'t figured it out yet, but I can hear the possibilities!
I\'m not a blues player and I got tired of missing notes on harmonicas so I\'ve been getting the non-standard tuned harps from Seydel (paddy, major cross, melodic maker, orchestra, ED (no, it doesn\'t mean that!), and circular. They\'re all great in their own ways!
Seydel harps are extremely well made!
Harmonicaland is a great place to get a harp, especially if you\'re looking for something different!
