The Seydel 1847 Noble harmonica stands as a pinnacle of harmonica craftsmanship, representing a meticulously enhanced iteration of the already successful 1847 Blues models. Crafted with precision and finesse, this harmonica is tailored for the discerning musician seeking an instrument of unparalleled quality.
Innovative Design for Superior Sound
The 1847 Noble boasts a set of innovative features that set it apart from conventional harmonicas. The coverplates are meticulously fashioned from matted stainless steel, equipped with side-vents for optimized sound projection and airflow distribution. This ensures that, even when played fully cupped, the harmonica delivers a rich, resonant tone.
To further enhance performance, the lower coverplate for low keys (ranging from LF to LC) has been ingeniously designed. This ingenious engineering minimizes reed rattling in holes 1 and 2, even under vigorous playing conditions.
Exceptional Construction for Unmatched Durability
Every component of the Seydel 1847 Noble harmonica has been thoughtfully chosen for its quality and longevity. The comb, meticulously milled from anodized black aluminum, bears the SEYDEL logo laser-engraved on the back. This not only adds to the instrument's aesthetic appeal but also ensures superb air-tightness and improved handling, thanks to the greater weight of the harmonica.
The reedplates, fashioned from corrosion-free German Silver, are meticulously crafted and secured with stainless steel screws. The precise alignment between slot and reed guarantees optimal tone control for the player. Moreover, the reeds and rivets, both made of durable Stainless Steel, are factory-adjusted to deliver pitch-stable and enduring performance.
Unrivaled Expertise and Tradition
The Seydel 1847 lightning Noble harmonica is a testament to over 160 years of SEYDEL’s harmonica-making heritage. Crafted without compromise, this instrument is constructed using only the finest materials available, ensuring its longevity and exceptional performance. It embodies the culmination of time-honored craftsmanship and cutting-edge engineering.
Available Options

Tonal Excellence
Tuned to Richter's C-Major, the Seydel 1847 Noble harmonica produces a beautiful range of tones. From the vibrant blow notes of C4 to the resonant draw notes of A7, every note is delivered with clarity and precision. This harmonica is not merely an instrument; it is a testament to the art of harmonica making."

Very good Seydel harmonica, sounds deep and powerful. I really like the look of it. Not so good for overblows I'd say this harmonica is intended for the blues player. Good quality from Seydel germany.

The harmonica has a full, warm tone and is easy to play, especially that notorious 2 draw. This is the first diatonic I've seen with half-valving over the first 6 draw holes. You may hear some snapping as the vales close over the reeds when you draw or blow. Most people probably won't notice this, though. Beware that valved instruments may require more maintenance than a standard diatonic.
